Why is Face Film a 2-step system?
House of B Face Film uses two steps because each step has a different job.
Step 1 is a concentrated ampoule that preps the skin with hydration and targeted skincare ingredients.
Step 2 is a thin, transparent hydrogel film designed to fit closely over the skin and help maintain a comfortable, moisture-rich environment throughout wear.
We could have made another one-step mask.
Instead, we asked:
What if we separated the formula into two focused steps — and designed them to work as one skin-prep ritual?
Step 1: Prep with the ampoule
The first step begins with a rich ampoule formulated with glutathione, niacinamide, amino acids, and moisturizing ingredients.
Applying the ampoule directly to the skin allows you to spread it evenly before placing the film on top.
It gives the routine a concentrated first step rather than asking one mask to do everything at once.
Step 2: Layer on the transparent film
Next comes the Face Film.
Its thin, flexible hydrogel texture is designed to conform closely to the contours of the face while keeping skin comfortably hydrated during wear.
That creates the signature House of B sequence:
Ampoule first.
Transparent film second.
Why did we choose two steps?
During development, we tested the Face Film in different formats.
The film alone gave us the close-fitting texture and hydration we wanted, but we saw an opportunity to create something more focused.
So we separated the ampoule from the film and developed the two as one complete treatment.
The result is a ritual in which each step has a clear purpose — without turning skin prep into an unnecessarily complicated routine.
We discovered international research showing that
Cysteine helps restore glutathione synthesis
and amplifies its antioxidant effects.
That was the moment we decided to incorporate this ingredient into Face Film.
But we didn’t stop at L-Cysteine.
We went further—formulating a complex of 12 amino acids
to maximize the power of our 99% pure glutathione.
When should you use Face Film?
Face Film is made for focused skin prep whenever you want your skin to look more hydrated, smooth, refreshed, and radiant.
Wear it for 1–3 hours when you want to prep during the day, or leave it on overnight when that fits your routine better.
