What Is a Face Film — and How Is It Different From a Sheet Mask?

Why a ‘film’?

Face Film is House of B’s take on a modern hydrogel face mask: thin, transparent, flexible, and designed to fit closely over the skin.

So why call it a “film”?

Because we wanted to create something that felt different from a traditional sheet mask — in how it looks, how it fits, and how it can be worn.

A different kind of face mask

Traditional sheet masks typically use a fabric-like sheet saturated with essence.

Face Film takes a different approach.

Its transparent hydrogel texture conforms closely to the face and becomes sheer once applied, creating an almost glass-like appearance on the skin.

That barely-there transparency became one of the defining characteristics of the product — and the reason we call it Face Film.

Fit was one of our biggest priorities during development.

We wanted a mask that felt lightweight enough for extended wear without the bulky feel of a traditional sheet.

So we continued refining its weight, flexibility, and thickness until we found a balance between:

The result is an ultra-thin film designed to follow the contours of the face while feeling light on the skin.

This film may be incredibly thin—
but it’s the result of cutting-edge technology and innovation.

Face Film is paired with a separate Step 1 ampoule before the transparent film is applied.

That 2-Step format allows the ampoule and film to play different roles within the same treatment.
